Available Tests to evaluate Residual Prestressing Forces in Concrete Bridges

<p>The reduction of the structural capacity and eventual collapse existing concrete bridges is often related to loss initial prestressing forces. This can be associated immediate or time dependent factors such as elastic shortening, creep, relaxation, loading, cracking, among others. In addition, environmental lead corrosion strands with subsequent their area, bond additional cracking which in turn will influence value residual prestress force bridge capacity. Therefore, evaluation losses critical decision-making process defining a financial cost optimized intervention strategies (e.g., strengthening replacement). this paper, detailed literature review regarding destructive non-destructive methods for measuring prestressed carried out used develop database experimental tests.</p>
